The book Unwind by Neal Shusterman is a dystopian thriller that will have you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next line. This book follows the lives of three teenagers, Connor 17, Risa 16 and Lev 13, who are on the run from a government that believes in unwinding; the solution to abortions and unwanted teens. Parents of unwanted teens make the decision to have their children’s body goods given to other people who need them. They don’t kill them but they don’t necessarily keep them alive either. Connor Lassiter is a troublemaker and his parents are planning on giving him the surprise of his lifetime. Risa Ward is a ward of the state, meaning she’s in a foster care. She’s a talented pianist but her teachers think otherwise. Lev Calder is a tithe and is up for the idea of being unwind after being brainwashed by his religious family. These teenagers are on the run to a safer new world.

I recommend this book because it really opens your eyes up to something new and it changes the way you think about things. This book is addicting and gives you the chills reading it. It leaves you haunted by the graphic details the author gives. Although there are no pictures in it, your imagination will surprise you when reading it. It is a series that you will want to read.
