The wait is over! It’s kickoff time and your favorite football team is back in action. With many new changes to this year’s team, the Viking football players are anxious to get this season rolling and show the Valhalla fans what they have been working on. On August 17th, the East Hall Vikings played the Flowery Branch Falcons at home. The final score was 70-6, Flowery Branch being in the lead. Although it was not the turnout we imagined, the Vikings persevered and kept their heads up throughout the entire game.

1st string quarterback, Kyle Baugh, stated “This year, the football team has prepared for this season in a way that we are not accustomed to. We have been pushed and challenged to set a standard for East Hall and for the upcoming players.” Not having done this in previous seasons made it difficult for the team to adapt, however the new coaching staff has came together and pushed the players to always have “P.R.I.D.E.” This stands for Personal Responsibility In Delivering Excellence. Baugh states that “The EHHS football team is like a brotherhood. We look out for the person beside us because we know that they will do the same.” To prepare for the upcoming games, the team is going to start taking advantage of the time given to them at practice and review their film to personally see the mistakes they made and the highlights of their previous game.
