Good Lunch, Bad Lunch??

When it comes to food in school, we mostly think about the vending machines, or maybe we mostly think about the school lunch. If you haven’t already known, Lunch is a meal eaten in the middle of the day, or in the evening. However, the topic, specifically, is about the school lunch. School Lunch is a meal that is served in the middle of the school day. Some people say school lunch is healthy, and some say the school lunch is unhealthy. It’s because according to experts they say that “unhealthy school lunches are a contributing factor to the childhood obesity epidemic. … And those problems can lead to children who don’t perform as well in school”. Also for most schools, they have school lunch programs. Most students in participating schools have healthier food and drinks choices, other stuff about these programs is that students have better eating habits, and they support affordable food for all students. However, when it comes to East Hall’s school, some students bring their own lunch cause they say it’s bad, and some say it’s pretty good.

I have interviewed some students that eat school lunch and asked if they think is good or not. East Hall Student, Timothy Jenkins, says that “I mean it’s not that good but it still food”, NJROTC Cadet Daniel Hinshaw says that “I personally think our food is better than other food! Our lunch ladies are forced to cook those type of food because of our State regulation. If we want better food we will need to convince the state then our lawmaker, and fellow East Hall Junior, Haley Grooms, said that “I think that it is nasty, half the time I just eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because that is the only decent thing to choose from. A lot of the food taste old or under-cooked” So there you have it, some people say it’s good, some people say it’s bad, and some people would rather eat the PB&J, with string cheese, and Doritos. Will our school get better or get worse?? We just have to find out later on in time.
