“We got spirit yes we do! We got spirit how ‘bout you?,” scream the East Hall cheerleaders as they hype up the student body. Everyone was excited and gathered together on October 12th at the homecoming pep rally. Students were eager for the game against the new Cherokee Bluff High School and were curious about  who our homecoming queen would be.

The pep rally was organized by the student council and was filled with multiple games such as tug of war, a teacher hula hoop game, and a competition on who did the homecoming court’s makeup better. Everyone screamed with excitement as the cheerleaders showed us their school spirit. The marching band played many fun tunes throughout the pep rally and gave off a very energetic vibe. Melissa Galvez, drum major of the marching band, said,

“It’s amazing to see the school get together and having such energetic spirits for the game.”

In the end, the football players were very hype about breaking a piñata with the opponent’s mascot on it. The pep rally ended with positive vibes and a team ready to go against Cherokee Bluff.
