Pam Moore The Whistleblower

Pam Moore is this week’s teacher spotlight. She teaches Physical Science here at East Hall High School.  Moore has been teaching at East Hall High School for some time now and has done so much for the school and for the East Hall students.

Moore was in the class of 1983 to where to she graduated from Johnson High School. From there, she attended  Brenau college and graduated in 1986. She earned her teaching certification at UGA in 1998 and went to North Georgia College and graduated in 2006.

Moore was asked what she did before she started teaching, “  My first degree was in accounting ,but I hated the job so I went back to school to become a teacher because I feel it is an important job and, even though it is hard at times, I still enjoy the kids.”

She was asked why she would want to teach at East Hall High School, “  I was teaching in Forsyth County but had lived in Hall County since junior high and always wanted to work near home so when the position came open, I interviewed for it.”

Several of Moore’s past and present students have really enjoyed being in her class.  I asked Junior Irving Flores what he thought of Mrs. Moore, he said “she’s a really motivational teacher”

Moore really is an example of showing that it’s never too late to follow your dream. Going back to school to get her teaching degree really takes a lot of courage. Moore doesn’t just love to teach but also enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family and her dog Joey.
