East Hall has a diverse senior population filled with talented individuals. This week the senior spotlight goes to Brisa Luna. Brisa is very excited to go on to the next chapter in her life; however, she is trying to do as much as she can before she graduates. When asked how her senior year is going, she said,

“It’s been really good, but as time passes, it has gotten very stressful. Other than that, it has been good, you have to hang out with the right people to make it enjoyable.”

Brisa has kept busy her senior year busy by getting involved in many extracurricular activities such as, Key club, National Honor Society, HoPe, and student council. She has also been a chorus member and a member of the marching band colorguard all four years, two of them being color guard captain. In terms of academics, she is a dual enrollment student at Brenau University and a nurse intern through the Work Based Learning program. She spends most of her day off campus at the hospital and Brenau which she believes has made her senior year better.

After she graduates, Brisa plans to go to a four year university to major in nursing in hopes of becoming a nurse one day. When asked what inspired her to pursue a nursing career she said,

“I think it would have to be the interaction with the patients and the things they do on the job. My hospital internship has also helped me have hands-on experience making me want to help people even more as a nurse.”

Up till now, Brisa has had a pretty memorable year. She has already gotten a head start on college and the career she wants to pursue, so she is more than ready to take on the next chapter of her life.
