As spring time approaches, many new sports will be coming into action. One that East Hall High School is very excited about is baseball. They are working hard to give East Hall a great season and we cannot let their hard work go unnoticed.  Our baseball team has had many great seasons in the past and we cannot wait to see what head coach Eric Fowler and the team have in store for us.

To get ready for this years season, the baseball team has practiced many hours to ensure their goal of making a playoff appearance. I spoke with sophomore, Mikey Parker, and asked him what they have done to get prepared for the spring. He stated,

“We have held multiple practices all this fall. We have many more younger players than we are used to which means that as a team, we are going to have to step up and dedicate ourselves more.”

The baseball team have indeed dedicated themselves even more than years past to make sure that they make the playoffs. As a team, this is very important to them. Junior, T.J. Smith, said,

“This year, my main goal for us would be to make playoffs. I feel that if we did this that we would be showing East Hall how hard we work and how great of a team we are. We have put in so much time and dedication and we are willing to do whatever it takes to make playoffs.”

We are so excited to see what our baseball team has to show us this season. Make sure to come out on Tuesday, February 4th at 5:55 pm for the scrimmage or Tuesday, February 11th at 5:55 pm for their first game. East Hall will be holding both of these so make sure to come out and support them!
