The wrestling coach, Christopher Horton, took 9 boys and 3 girls to the state finals.  The following seniors were apart of the state tournament; Louis Garcia (12), Melissa Evans (12), and Taylor Myers (12).

“This would have been my second experience going to state. My first experience wasn’t a really good experience. I had to cut weight. During my previous year at state finals, i was eliminated on the first day and there was only three of us that qualified. This year was better than last year because we had 12 out of 14 who qualified. I really enjoyed it because I spent time with my teammates and also placed fourth in the state. I am very proud and glad  I placed. It has been a good season and this top the end of my senior year season.” explained Louis Garcia (12). Garcia has put in hard work and dedication into this seas and his work has paid off.

“I have learned a lot with my team and as a team, we had the best year” exclaimed Taylor Myers”. Even after Myers injury, he continued to pushed through and support his teammates.

The wrestling team has had a tremendous season for the 2018-19 school year by making a new record on the increase in members going to sectionals.
