Origins of a “Captain”

Origins of a “Captain”

With the death of Captain Marvel(Mar-Vell), the Avengers needed a new Captain Marvel. Enter Carol Danvers, who will later become the new Captain Marvel. Which leads me into the new movie that’s coming out soon, “Captain Marvel”.

Development of the film began as early as May 2013, and was officially announced in October 2014, making it Marvel Studios’ first female-led superhero film. Nicole Perlman and Meg LeFauve were hired as a writing team the following April after submitting separate takes on the character. The story borrows elements from Roy Thomas‘s 1971 “Kree–Skrull War” comic book storyline.

Captain Marvel cast is Brie Larson as Captain Marvel herself, Jude Law as Yon-Rogg, and Samuel L. Jackson.

I interviewed some students to ask about their opinion about the new movie

From 11th grader and ROTC Cadet Julius Rodriguez he says “Ehhh, I just hope that it answers more questions with S.H.I.E.L.D, seeing how Nick Fury is there and see how Captain Marvel will be put in Endgame, but other than that it’s doesn’t seem very interesting.

From 11th grader Zion Hill, he says “It’s gonna be a good movie, but I wish they would have put some more of my favorite characters in it, but most of them died in the Avengers:Civil War”

With the thoughts on this movie, I think it’s gonna be a “ok” movie. The film will be released on  on March 7th.
