Kyle Baugh Breaks School History

On Wednesday, March 6th, Kyle Baugh (11) made history for the East Hall Golf Team. Baugh was the first East Hall Golfer to record an albatross in a match. An albatross is a score of three-under-par on a single hole. This means that instead of making the ball into the hole in the recommended five strokes, he made it in two. The odds of making this in a golf match is 6 million to one.

When asked how he felt after accomplishing this, Baugh stated,

“After accomplishing this once in a lifetime moment, I felt something I can’t even really describe. Knowing that only a handful of people, including pro golfers, in the entire world have actually recorded an albatross is absolutely gratifying. I am so proud to be apart of East Hall history.”

Baugh wants to continue his golfing career by giving God all of the glory and hopes to make State before graduating high school. He plans to carry this momentum forward to the Hall County Championship and Area Tournament in hopes of gaining a college scholarship.

East Hall is beyond proud of Kyle for his amazing accomplishment and we cannot wait to see what he and the East Hall Golf Team have in store for us in the years to come. Make sure to come out and support the Golf Team at the Hall County Championship March 11th and 12th and the Area Tournament late April.
