A Budget Nintendo Switch?!?

On September 20th, 2019, NIntendo released at North America something that’s a little smaller than a Switch, it is called The Nintendo Switch Lite.

On March 3rd, 2017, Nintendo released what could possibly go down as one of the greatest gaming consoles in history, the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch has to be one of the most greatest ideas Nintendo has done in its history, it is a hybrid console that can be used as stationary and portable device. The Switch consists of games such as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legends of Zelda:Breath of the Wild, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and many more games.

Can’t afford to buy a Nintendo Switch? Well The Nintendo Switch Lite should be good just for you. It is basically a budget version of the Switch, however; it doesn’t have some characteristics that a regular Switch have. Unlike the original Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch Lite cannot connect to a TV. The console has a smaller screen, allowing it to be taken on the go easier. There are no detachable Joy-Cons, or the attachable controllers for the Switch, as they are integrated into the system. Additionally, instead of arrow buttons, there is a D-pad instead. The IR Motion Camera and HD rumble features from the Nintendo Switch have also been removed.

The Switch Lite have some pros and cons, a few people have some thoughts about this budget creation.

East Hall Senior and NJROTC Cadet William Eldred says “It looks like a good alternative to the switch that’s pretty cheap”

East Hall Student Jaden Bales says “It’s the best system I think Nintendo has made for people that can’t afford a Nintendo Switch”

NJROTC Cadet Julius Rodriguez says “It’s cool, if you like to play by yourself or if you can’t completely afford a switch, you can buy a switch lite”

As a Nintendo Switch user, The Switch Lite is a pretty good console for people who don’t have the money for an actual Switch. It pretty much shows that Nintendo cares about people with “little money.”
