Green Mario back in action

Luigi’s Mansion 3 is said to be released on October 31st on the Nintendo Switch, the return of Luigi going back to his ghost hunting ways

The first Luigi’s Mansion came out on September 14th, 2001 on the Gamecube. The game was a launch title for the GameCube and is the first game in the Mario franchise to be released for the console.  It is the second video game in which Luigi is the main character instead of Mario, with players controlling him as he explores a haunted mansion, searching for Mario and dealing with ghosts that lie within its rooms by capturing them through a special device supplied by Professor E. Gadd. Luigi’s Mansion was well-received by reviewers, but it was criticized for its short length. The game has sold over 2.5 million copies, and is the fifth best selling GameCube game of all time, so much that they remade the game on the Nintendo 3DS. The Sequel to Luigi’s Mansion was Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon which was released March 20th, 2013 on the Nintendo 3DS.

A couple of Mario fans had thoughts on the new haunted games that will be released on Halloween.

East Hall graduate Eduardo Gonzales says “Well I haven’t played the game, but in my opinion on the gameplay is that it looks incredible visually and smoothness of it looks great”

ROTC Cadet William Eldred says “I’m happy that Luigi is back hunting ghosts, as much as I loved the first and second game, I think I will love the third game”

Former East Hall Student David Perez says “Luigi Mansion is going to be a great game to be honest, because I Prefer Luigi over Mario due to the fact that he’s the Exact opposite of Mario. Luigi having his own game just makes him fight his fears and rescues the ones he loves in a silly way that Mario can’t show”

For people, including me, who is a big fan of Luigi’s Mansion, I believe this will be another great game that Nintendo has produced.
