Moving out of 3A and into 4A, East Hall Sports will be different starting in 2020. East Hall will move up into Region 8-4A  with Jefferson, Flowery Branch, Chestatee, Cedar Shoals, Madison County, and North Oconee.

East Hall Athletic Director Mr. Adam Rich says “I’m not surprised that we moved up. I’m more anxious to see who they put us with. I would like to play more Hall County Schools.”

Mr. Rich’s comments were made before the final regions were announced.

There is really no positive or negative impact on our overall sports department, but it depends on the sport and our performance in that sport, and the overall performance of the others in our division. Mr.  Rich really didn’t want to be paired in the 4A division with private schools like GAC or Marist, because they have bigger advantages than public schools. This division switch will bring many new things to East Hall Sports, including new division challenges in all sports.
