Monica Richardson

With the introduction of the new school year we have new staff as well. This year we have 17 new teachers in many departments. We at The Valhalla would like to thank each teacher for taking the time to talk to us and introduce themselves to East Hall.

Monica Richardson is one of those new teachers. We had the opportunity to speak with her.

Q: What subject do you teach?

A: “I teach math, specifically coordinate algebra and analytic geometry.” 

Q: How long have you been teaching?

A: “This is my second year teaching.”

Q: Why did you become a teacher?

A: “I became a teacher because I love building connections with people. I like being there for my students and peers whether it’s school or if they just need someone to talk to, I like being someone’s go to person.”

Q: Why East Hall?

A: “I chose East Hall because the environment is so much like a family and I feel like my intentions of of wanting to help people can be met here”

Q: What do you do outside school?

A: “I enjoy listening to music, going on hikes, and spending time with my dog.”

Q: What is one interesting fact about you?

A: “One interesting fact about myself is that I like haunted house and things like that but i can’t handle scary movies.”
