Viking Football makes their Comeback

The East Hall Viking Football Team took on Franklin County for their first home game of the season on September 18th. While they suffered a tough loss with the score 31-21, the team still gave their best effort. Despite the loss, the Viking community still pulled off a great Senior Night for the class of 2021 who are involved in Football, Cheerleading, Cross Country, and Band. Although they suffered a loss to Franklin County, East Hall came back for the win against Johnson High School on Friday, September 25th.

Although Covid-19 postponed sports and activities for the year, with social distancing and mask meditation put in place, the season has still continued. Tickets were sold earlier in the week, and the game was held with max social distancing capacity. Before the game began, they recognized the class of 2021 telling each student’s accomplishments, goals, and plans after high school.

After their loss against Franklin County, the Vikings were determined to come back for the win against Johnson. They came out winning 41-3, making it another victory for the East Hall Vikings. Johnson has also taken a hit to their team, winning no games in their season so far. Quarterback, Clete Cooper, had 350 yards and 3 touchdowns contributing to their win. Macere Walker and Mon Tabor had a pair of touchdowns leading the boys to another win in the books.
