On September 25th, the Viking Football Team played their 3rd game of the season against the Johnson Knights. The Vikings won by over 30 points with the score ending with 41-3 and had a great night. This Friday was no different, with the team winning against East Jackson. The team won 49-34 contributing their winning streak. The team has now won 3 of their 4 games and they hope to continue this winning streak.

 

East Jackson scored the first touchdown of the night made by Tyler Crow for the first touchdown in the first 2 minutes of the game. Soon after Matthew Lott made the touchdown run and a two-point conversion by Darius Holcomb. From that point the Vikings took the lead during the entire game with the score coming close during the end. 

 

 Overall, Clete Cooper finished 7-of-12 for 180 yards and 1 touchdown during the game. Clete Cooper is now the third in the state for passing, and added 80 yards on the ground. Mon Tabor had 4 catches, 100 yards, and 1 touchdown. Matthew Lott had 110 yards and 3 touchdowns. The next game will be October 9th against Cedar Shoals at home.
