East Hall Says Goodbye to Their 2020 Football Season

This past Friday, Nov. 19th, Valhalla Stadium held its last regular season game for the 2020 football season.

The game against Flowery Branch High School resulted in a tough, 48-6 loss for the Vikings. The game began with Flowery Branch scoring a touchdown in the fourth minute of the first quarter and going on to score two more touchdowns by the end of the first quarter. East Hall scored their first touchdown by the end of the first quarter with a pass from quarterback Clete Cooper. However, they missed their try at a two-point play.

After having to forfeit two games because of the team’s quarantine, the team will not go on into the playoffs. East Hall ended with 4-6 overall and a 1-5 regional score. Head Coach Micheal Perry said that he is extremely proud of the football players this year as they doubled their amount of wins from last year.

“The boys have worked extremely hard,” said Perry. “Our seniors will be missed and did a great job raising the bar.”

East Hall faculty and students are very proud of our football team and are ready to see what they can do next year. The team will start their tryout in the spring semester and begin training during the summer for the 2021 season.
