Lady Viking Basketball Team makes Comeback


With the Basketball Season coming to an end, our Viking Basketball Teams are giving their all for these last games. Tuesday, January 26th, the girls and boys Basketball team traveled to Chesatee in hopes of defeating the War Eagles.The Lady Vikings carried a great game winning 45-29. While the Boys Team suffered losing 82-64, the team still gave it their all.

The Lady Vikings came out with an impressive win after their comeback from quarantine. Alexis Burce scored a total of 16 points leading the Vikings to victory. Alongside her was Senior, Carly Campbell, scoring 14 points in the game. The Lady Vikings overall pushed through leading them into their 12th win of the season so far. 

The boys team unfortunately lost against the War Eagles team, but still played a great game. East Hall recently introduced a new coach, Tommy Yancey, who has led them to 6 wins in their season so far. Despite the loss, Christian Torres had 22 points in Tuesday’s game. The JV Boys team also suffered a loss against Chestatee making no wins for the JV team this far in the season. 

The Viking basketball teams hope to keep up the good work and bring home a few late wins to finish the season. East hall will be holding a makeup game against North Oconee on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Vikings will also begin playing Jefferson at home next Tuesday starting at 8 p.m.
