Strong Start to Soccer Season

With Winter sports coming to a close, our Spring season is approaching quickly and our soccer team is ready. The season has started up and the boys and girls teams are starting a great season. The Varsity Coach, Coach Wade, is holding their team to a high standard in hopes for a victorious season.

The Varsity boys team has already played 3 games in the season so far and have started off strong. Their first game was against Lumpkin with a tie of 0-0. They then played Clarke Central High School where they also tied 1-1. Their most recent game was against West Hall where they won 5-0, marking this their first win of the season.

The girls team has not won a game so far in the season but hopes to improve as the season continues. The ladies lost to Clarke County 0-6 and lost again to White County 1-6. Although their season isn’t off to the best start, they hope to make a comeback as this is just the beginning of the season.

As this is just the start of the season, the team is hoping to make their comeback and win regions by the end of the season. Their next game is Tuesday, February 16th against Johnson High School. If you would like to show your support to the team, make sure to join the team at Johnson High School stadium to defeat the Knights.
