EOC and AP Testing!

EOC and AP Testing!

The end of the year is rounding up and with that comes testing. Nobody enjoys it, however, it is 20% of your grade so make sure you show up on those days. The EOC’s will be lasting a week and then the week after is the Math and Social Studies AP testing. And once again, the week after is the English Lang and Spanish AP testing. Testing will be going on for three weeks and will start at 8 am.
The first two days will be the American Literature test, which begins on April 25th and April 26th. Following that, on April 27th is the Algebra 1 testing. April 28th is the Biology testing and April 29th is the US History testing. So be prepared for all of these tests. Try to sleep and eat well. It is very important to take care of your body before and after testing. Especially with big tests like these. They could be very stressful and very difficult. These tests are important and studying is very necessary since they are worth 20% of your grade. These tests are the same as we have all taken before. Whether that be in middle school or a few years ago, so don’t procrastinate too much.
When all the EOC’s testing is over, then begins AP testing. On May 2nd, AP Government has their test. We then have a few days of no testing, until Thursday, May 5th. On that day we have the AP statistics test. Then on the following Friday, we have the AP United States history test. All of these tests will also start at 8 am. As for the other test, remember to take care of yourself. Drink water and sleep plenty. Study, these tests are important. If you want to receive the AP Credit, you have to pass the testing. However that does not mean that you fail your class, you can still pass your classes regardless.
When the pandemic started they shut down most of the state testing. However, since then a lot has settled down which means that state testing is back. Unfortunately, that includes East Hall. It’s been a good break without having to do them, however now that they’re back it may be a huge issue with most of us not being ready for them. It might throw people off guard which is why you should be aware of them beforehand. The truth is that these tests can be scary. They are hard and very important to our educational career. But it’s also important to not stress too badly. Just take care of yourself first, drink water, eat three meals a day, try to sleep 8 hours, etc… Get a head start, and study early. Just continue adding steps to your daily lifestyle. It will benefit you in the long run and prepare you for what’s coming.
